Deenamma Jeevitham released on 5th January 2001 was also the day turned out to be. The Deenamma Jeevitham is a movie that was done by Durgasree Films and Yashwanth Raamaswamy Creations. The movie got Dev with Priya Chouhan and Saritha Chouhan in lead roles.
The film is directed by Murali Ramasaamy where the character who is played by an actor named Krish (Dev) is a wannabe movie-maker with a ‘maradalu’ Radha (Priya Chouhan). He has big dreams of being successful in life and on that quest, he strikes an affair with a gorgeous girl Mahi (Saritha), but Radha is the one who is married to Krish.
This doesn’t sit well with Radha because she remains too hurt to forgive her husband’s betrayal towards their marriage. However, Krish makes every attempt to leave Mahi in order to please his wife. It is then that trouble arises for Krish because Mahi who Krihs decides to pump does not want to be dumped. Mahi fair was the geisha to Krish that look for? This is among the second half of the action Packed thriller where there is con-game.
Dev makes no effort to perform the role of Krish as he naturally feels comfortable. The comic treatment allows him to completely abandon himself especially when body language and voices are concerned. Priya and Saritha are a good fit as Krish’s wife and girlfriend but mostly, and very convincingly, they love each other even when their relations are not easy as humor has to highlight also such moments. The two actresses love this comic nuance and put in their best.

In a very topical story, Director Murali Ramaswaamy emphasizes the theme of extra marital relationships and infidelism, dangerous attraction, strains in the intimacy in a way people do normally in society but are taken for granted and never addressed. No one wants to take the bull by the horns and actually have conversations with or anybody about what exists withing society but has been swept under the carpet as it’s blots from the carpet rather than seeing the dirt.
‘Deenamma Jeevitham’ is normally associated with the dissatisfaction of young people. This however, in this film aims at a male view of frustration. The placement of such perspective in the narrative makes sure that Krish is afforded reason more than any other character.
It’s entertaining to watch the flashback scenes especially in the second half; It is fun filled entertainer but it does not lose in delivering its core theme- Extra marital affairs are about fleeting moments of happiness with someone outside the home some brave scenes remind us of Animal.
RS composes music and Suresh Gangula lrc those song’s fine. Johnny Basha has edited where as Satesh Kare is the cinematographer and both have done well for the movie as a whole. Deenamma Jeevitham is a comedy entertainer with the husband wife girlfriend angle to it.
