Some movie pitches are inherently golden, compelling the filmmaker to at least produce something decent. “The Underperforming College Grad Who Gets One Shot At Success” is an example and “A Rag Tag Team Of Professionals Gets Lucky And Make It Big” is another one. Combine the two, and it covers almost 90% of sports films. Also, ”A Childfree Miranda Gets Unexpected Kids And Succeeds As A Parent” is on the list.
So this is Nutcrackers, with Ben Stiller in the lead role, a single Chicago businessman who works eight days a week and suddenly has to father a bunch of small orphans.
David Gordon Green does a superb job directing the movie Nutcrackers, that revolves around a sensitive low-budget drama set in the midwestern suburbs of America. All the Real Girls is a classic example of such genre which is taken a level higher with it’s integration with the comedy genre. Uncle Buck and Where the Bad News Bears are perfect examples of this genre it’s conics catch the attention of the most unlikely people.
Stellr handles the role of a nephew that is torn between undergoing a foster care and closing a huge deal in Chicago, objects to the chaos that ensues when the Thinklighter boys try to settle into a new foster family.The Chaos is beautifully directed with Justice, Homer Janson, Junior, Ulysses Janson and Samuel Simon doing a wonderful job in portraying eight year old Jaxon. All in all, it is a must watch for not only the action fans but seasoned comedy lovers as well.
The Kick lighter Boys are the modern rendition of what was previously regarded as ‘Juvenile Delinquents’ to now being termed ‘Teenagers at Risk’. They’re seen stealing into and breaking apart a ride at a carnival. Mike makes it very clear during the procedure that he wants no feelings, or entanglements of any sort other than attending to Mike’s needs, which amply means getting out of that place as soon as possible. But, one understands how things are likely to have to go: this is the kind of film one expects it to be: soft at the core but not over sappy. Mike appears to be outgoing at the right moments as he ends up garnering the required attention from Gretchen, his foster care agency. There is disappointment in the fact that the first foster family is unable to cater to his needs.
Stiller is initially quite unpredictable which is amply the direction the film requires him to carry, and growing older has resulted in Steve playing the character with a warmer heart bearing role which fits perfectly with being a comedian indeed.
The real-life Janson brothers must have helped sell the idea for the Kick lighters Casting that these boys are brothers, and so is green, since he has always performed with, for lack of a better word, the actors, and as he has been saying, stressing rhythms of performance over everything else: the film’s development is dictated by the energies of the performers and there is space for all sorts of digressions, some of which may not be truly related to the plot but simply look like a pinch of life.
