Setengah Hati
“Setengah Hati” is probably the most outstanding work from Hasto Broto so far. This is well-achieved since the film, whose script was also reworked by script fim writer Abdur Arsyad, comes out well as a drama-comedy.
But Hasto and Arsyad do have to do some level of hard-work in adapting “Setengah Hati” to a feature film — or half-baked. Hasto himself seems very quick in making room for all of his players to play.
Initially, I (the writer) was guilty of underestimating this movie. It would likely be an ordinary flat Hasto Broto’s another remake like an ftv series. His very last – “Inem Pelayan Sexy New” (2019) – did not even get close to the ticket office.
Even within the movie is placed well-known actors such as Mathias Muchus and Meriam Bellina, who tactically devoured their roles. Until it makes actress Jelita Callebaute– who is the daughter of famous actress Doris callebaute, very mediocre in her appearance.
However, contrary to Hasto’s recent work, “Setengah Hati”, I (the writer) must say that all the players are able to implement the right interaction programs with each other. But there are still certain issues regarding the acquisition of ‘Betawi’ slang in the delivery of dialogues.
However, it is still tolerated due to highest operatic performance of the play. I take an example of young actor Tissa Biani who is not willing to hold back any of her skill as she wants people to appreciate that what she does is not just an overhand with a facade.
